The Transition Cow – Monitoring and Managing Health and Comfort to Maximize Production
This workshop emphasizes the importance of transition cow management for optimizing health and productivity. Participants will learn to identify key control points, interpret essential indicators, and implement monitoring routines at individual and herd levels. Special attention will be given to housing and cow comfort. Through practical exercises, attendees will explore disease detection, prevention, and the advisory role of veterinarians.
Tools, Trends, and Techniques for Fertility Monitoring
This workshop focuses on improving veterinary reproductive skills through a combination of traditional and modern diagnostic tools. Participants will gain hands-on experience in comprehensive reproductive examinations, including ultrasonography and Doppler techniques, as well as advanced diagnostics for subclinical endometritis using endometrial cytobrush sampling and microscopic evaluation.
Clinical and Ultrasonographic Examination of Calves: Focus on Navel and Respiratory Disease
Aimed at strengthening participants’ expertise in calf health, with focus on enteritis, umbilical disorders, and respiratory disease, this session includes ultrasonographic evaluation and validated pain-assessment methods. Evidence-based therapeutic protocols will also be discussed.
