The aim of this workshop is to advance participants’ knowledge and skills in diagnosing and treating equine wounds. The program offers a comprehensive and practical overview of conditions ranging from acute superficial injuries to complex, contaminated, and chronic wounds. Special emphasis is placed on choosing appropriate diagnostic methods and tailoring therapeutic approaches to individual cases.
The practical part will take place on limb segments, which represent the most common injury locations and, due to equine anatomical specifics, are frequent challenges in clinical practice.

Participants will learn to:
• assess the type and extent of tissue damage
• select appropriate diagnostic methods
• perform optimal primary wound management
• apply various contact layers in wound treatment
• choose and correctly apply bandages
• apply antiseptic and antimicrobial treatments
• perform specific wound-management techniques in the periocular region and distal limbs
• manage postoperative care and prevent complications
