Ultrasound examination of the abdomen in dogs and cats

This comprehensive course combines theoretical lectures on abdominal ultrasound examination in small animals with extensive practical training. In the introductory segment, participants will learn the basics of ultrasound, including proper patient positioning, choosing the appropriate probe, organ localization and physiological features, artifact recognition, and common abnormalities and pathologies.
The practical portion ensures maximum interactivity, with participants working in small groups (3–4 people) to allow sufficient time for individual hands-on experience using the probe on dogs. Additionally, ultrasound-guided aspiration practice on models is included.
